The four-star recruit was an all-state player from Sarasota before joining the Seminoles. He played in two games (one tackle) in 2014 before having to redshirt due to injury. Christmas started once in 13 games played the following year (19, 0.5 sack) and then started all 13 games in 2016 (21 tackles, 2.5 for loss, two sacks, five pass breakups). He again lined up with the ones as a junior, making 36 stops, 4.5 for loss, a sack, and four pass breakups. Christmas' production dropped in the Seminoles' 2018 campaign (28 tackles, three for loss, two PBUs in 11 starts), but ACC coaches and media still voted him third-team all-conference.

Overview
A backup-caliber defensive tackle on the next level with good size and power but a disappointing lack of consistency as a run defender. Christmas can improve at the point of attack with better hand usage and technique, but his average instincts and get-off won't do him any favors in the race for early positioning in the trenches. Christmas has the ability to crank up an occasional pressure, but it is unlikely to be on passing downs as a pro.
Strengths
  • Above-average size and overall mass
  • Hip thrust with some power into initial contact
  • Adequate with read-and-react
  • Upper-body power and twitch to pop and shed single blocks
  • Has feel for wedging into gaps against move blocks
  • Adequate lateral movement to side-step around blocks
  • Flashes some recovery athleticism to find the ball
  • Has some ability to batter the pocket with his rush
  • Spies quarterback with ready hands to attack passing lanes
Weaknesses
  • Needs to play with more consistent strain and fire
  • Initial get-off quickness is lacking
  • Gets behind in initial phases of the rep
  • Pops up too tall off the snap losing leverage
  • Unable to consistently own his turf at point of attack
  • Needs to work with earlier hands at the point of attack
  • Below-average technique and consistency in taking on double teams
  • Won't carry any snap value on passing downs
  • Face-up rusher with limited array of rush moves
