With Boss' status for Week 2 uncertain, Giants sign TE Pascoe

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- With starting tight end Kevin Boss questionable with a concussion, the New York Giants have signed tight end Bear Pascoe off their practice squad.

To make room for Pascoe the Giants say they released third-year linebacker Bryan Kehl.

Boss was hurt on the Giants' opening drive in the season opener against the Carolina Panthers.

Travis Beckum is the only other tight end on the Giants' active roster.

Pascoe played four games with the Giants late last season and was among their last cuts this year.

Kehl had three special teams tackles against Carolina on Sunday. He was a fourth-round draft choice in 2008 and played in 31 games with three starts. Last year, he tied for the team lead with 16 special teams tackles.
