Four weeks of preseason football are in the books. We're two days away from meaningful NFL football. It's time to sort out how all 32 teams stack up.
Be sure to stay awake, or, if you must get your beauty rest, set your DVR for the reveal of NFL.com's first power rankings of the 2016 regular season. Elliot Harrison brings the juice tonight at 10 p.m. ET on NFL Network, placing all 32 teams in order before kickoff Thursday, and there are more than a few surprises.
A preseason worth of Mike Mularkey's "exotic smashmouth" has jettisoned the Titans up the rankings. Thanks to a potentially devastating two-back combo of DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry, their run-first approach might stick around in a pass-happy modern game. But how many spots is the new era in Nashville worth?
But the biggest stunner comes in where the Vikings land. After losing Teddy Bridgewater for the season (and maybe more) and sending first- and fourth-round picks to Philadelphia for Sam Bradford, they still rank among the top-10 teams in the league.
The full power rankings will be revealed tonight at 10 p.m. ET on NFL Network.
