Washington Redskins claim WR Dez Briscoe

Wide receiver Dez Briscoe, who was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, was claimed off waivers by the Washington Redskins on Friday.

Briscoe, 22, had 35 receptions for 387 yards and six touchdowns for Tampa Bay in 2010. Entering his third NFL season, he joins Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan as new weapons for coach Mike Shanahan to combine with rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III.
