Vikings' Berrian uninterested in talking about being benched

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Bernard Berrian said he's "already over" not playing in last Sunday's game.

Berrian declined Wednesday to discuss his punishment.

"That's old news. I'm already over it. Can't do nothing about it now," said Berrian, who has just two catches for 37 yards this season.

It was the first time Berrian was available to reporters since Vikings coach Leslie Frazier put him on the inactive list against the Arizona Cardinals for an unspecified disciplinary reason. Berrian said he doesn't like to talk about "stuff that's in the past."

Berrian also created controversy last week when he engaged in an argument on Twitter with a state lawmaker over the receiver's on-field performance.

Berrian said he believes he's back in good standing with the team. The Vikingsvisit the Chicago Bears this Sunday night.
