Veteran DE Wilkerson arrives in New Orleans to meet with Saints

Defensive end Jimmy Wilkerson arrived in New Orleans on Monday to meet with the Saints, according to a league source.

Wilkerson, a seven-year veteran who has spent the last two seasons in Tampa Bay, had dinner with coaches and team officials as part of a productive visit and could end up signing with the Saints. Wilkerson is coming off knee surgery but is a good fit for New Orleans, and the team remains interested in rotational pass rushers after signing Alex Brown last week.

The Buccaneers remain interested in re-signing Wilkerson.
