Unhappy Thanksgiving for Jags as three more starters in doubt

The Jacksonville Jaguars will likely be without five defensive starters when they take on the first-place Houston Texans on Sunday.

They already knew that CB Rashean Mathis and LB Clint Session would miss the game because they are on the injured reserve list with a torn ACL and a concussion, respectively.

Cornerback Derek Cox, defensive end Matt Roth and defensive tackle Terrance Knighton missed their second consecutive practice Thursday, the Florida Times-Union reported.

Cox was on crutches Thursday with a knee injury, Roth has a concussion and Knighton has already missed two games with an ankle injury. Backups William Middleton and Ashton Youboty are slated to start at the corners for the Jaguars on Sunday.

Youboty just signed with Jacksonville on Nov. 15. "I feel comfortable in the scheme," he said. "I think I know the defense well enough to go out there and compete."
