Tyron Smith, Joe Flacco headline Players of the Week

Joe Flacco threw five touchdown passes last Sunday faster than any quarterback in modern NFL history. Against a talented, but disorganized Tampa Bay defense, Flacco showed that the Ravens' offense is set to flourish under coordinator Gary Kubiak, and that Torrey Smith is still in existence. It was good enough to earn him the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award for Week 6.

The 2012 Super Bowl winner still endures his fair share of criticism, but after throwing for 306 yards on 21 of 29 attempts in a 48-17 victory over the Buccaneers, Flacco was able secure the Ravens' place among the top 10 offenses in football.

Right now, Baltimore is averaging 389.8 yards per game and is converting on nearly 50 percent of their third downs. A lot of that credit goes to Flacco, who has seamlessly integrated Steve Smith into the new offense and is now sprinkling in some of his additional playmakers.

On the NFC side, Cowboys stalwart left tackle Tyron Smith earned the nod after keeping Tony Romo clean in a big win over the Seahawks and paving the way for DeMarco Murray to rush for 115 yards and a score. Smith became the first offensive lineman to receive the honor since Brian Waters won it while playing for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2004.

Here are the other award winners for Week 6:

AFC

Tennessee Titans DE Jurrell Casey: Notched a pair of sacks on rookie Blake Bortles in a tight victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Indianapolis Colts P Pat McAfee: The best punter in football continued to strengthen his league-leading 44.8 yards-per-punt average and nailed yet another onside kick against the Texans.

NFC

Detroit Lions DE Ezekiel Ansah: Last year's first-round pick broke out in a big way against the Vikings, notching 2.5 sacks, four tackles and a forced fumble in a win over the Vikings.

Arizona Cardinals K Chandler Catanzaro: The perfect season for the Arizona kicker continued after he nailed kicks from 33, 49 and 37 yards in a big win.
