Trent Richardson begins Raiders' camp on NFI list

Trent Richardson's latest fresh start kicked off poorly in Oakland.

The Raiders running back begins training camp on the active/non-football injury list. No official word was given for the reason behind Richardson sitting out. Receiver Rod Streater also began camp on the NFI list.

The designation comes a day after the San Francisco Chronicle's Vic Tafur heard "whispers" the latest T-Rich reclamation project was "not going so well."

It's the latest setback for the former No. 3 overall pick, whose downward spiral is barely worth the Internet space it's taken up the past four years.

The Raiders were hoping a third new start and some lost weight would help spark the former Alabama running back. Alas, Richardson will have to battle for a roster spot behind Latavius Murray and Roy Helu.
