Tours of Cowboys' new $1.15 billion stadium offered to fans

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Fans who want to tour $1.15 billion Cowboys Stadium can do so for a fee.

Tours of the Dallas Cowboys' new retractable-roof venue began Friday, the same day that thousands of hopefuls for the Fox television show "American Idol" showed up for auditions.

Stadium tours, which cost $15 for adults and $12 for children, will be conducted every half-hour and last up to 75 minutes.

The tour includes visits to the high-tech scoreboard control room, the press box and the Cowboys' locker room, and it has limited field access.
