Texans make four additions to their coaching staff

The Houston Texans announced additions to their coaching staff on Friday, naming Reggie Herring as their new linebackers coach and Vance Joseph as defensive backs coach.

The team additionally announced that it has reached agreements with John Butler as a defensive assistant and Jim Ryan as an offensive assistant.

Herring is making his second stop with Houston, having previously served as the Texans linebackers coach from 2002-03. For the past three seasons, he was the linebackers coach for the Dallas Cowboys.

Joseph has nine years of experience as a defensive backs coach. Butler and Ryan will also work with special teams coordinator Joe Marciano.
