Texans' Johnson day-to-day with sprained knee

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Houston wide receiver Andre Johnson sprained his knee during the fourth quarter of the Texans' 34-21 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, coach Gary Kubiak said.

Johnson injured his left knee after catching a 10-yard pass with 11:43 remaining. He was tackled by safety Chris Harris at the Carolina 22-yard line and remained on the turf for several minutes.

He walked off the field under his own power, but could be seen limping on the sideline. He didn't return after trainers wrapped the knee in ice.

"We'll look at it when we get home, and it'll be day-to-day," Kubiak said.

Johnson had seven catches for 120 yards, and his two touchdown receptions extended the team record to 20.
