Terrell Owens' day in training camp

SAN ANTONIO (AP) -A look at Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens' day in training camp Tuesday:

BACK IN ACTION, READY TO PLAY: Owens was back at practice after missing two days because of back spasms. He felt good after the 1 hour, 45-minute practice and is expected to play in the preseason opener Thursday night against Indianapolis. "At this point, there's no reason for me not to," Owens said. Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said, "I think he'll be ready for the game." Phillips said the first-team offense is expected to play about a quarter.

HE'S BACK: About 10 minutes before the team started practice with its stretching routine, Owens came out on the field. His arrival was met in the usual way by fans in the Alamodome, who greeted No. 81 with plenty of cheers. Owens never came out for practice Sunday and Monday while getting treatment on his back.

FALSE START: There were no yellow penalty flags thrown, but Owens jumped early off the line during a passing drill without defenders early in the workout. The offense reset and started the play again.

HOW'S IT GOING ROOK?: During some special teams drills, T.O. spent time on the sideline talking with a quarterback - not starter Tony Romo, but rookie free agent Richard Bartel. Owens and Bartel were both seen smiling during the short conversation.
