Quarterback Trevone Boykin did not play in TCU's loss to Oklahoma in Norman, Okla., on Saturday
Redshirt freshman Foster Sawyer started for the Horned Frogs, but was replaced in the third quarter by Bram Kohlhausen after throwing three picks.
Boykin left last week's game with an ankle injury, and his playing status for Saturday had been in doubt all week.
This the second major injury to hit the Horned Frogs' offense recently. TCU was also without wide receiver Josh Doctson, who Patterson ruled out for the rest of the regular season with a wrist injury.
