Talk is 'cheap': Dolphins dismiss Bills' guarantee of win

However, with a quick turnaround to play the Miami Dolphinson Thursday (shown exclusively on NFL Network), defensive back Leodis McKelvin declared on Sunday the Bills would "go out and beat that ass. Point blank. Period."

That prediction, of course, led to some retorts in Miami.

"For someone to just jump off saying things like that before the game being played, I don't know if he's trying to rally his team together or what they're trying to do," Dolphins safety Jimmy Wilson said after Monday's practice, per ESPN.com. "It just seems cheap. But we're not worried about it. We're going to go handle our business. We know how important these AFC games are to win. We got to avenge ourselves."

Perhaps McKelvin's confidence stems from the Bills' 29-10 dismantling of the Dolphins in Week 2 or the three straight wins over Miami entering Thursday.

"I couldn't care less," defensive end Cameron Wake said of the guarantee. "When football starts becoming a debate, then I'd care about words. Until that day, football pads win and lose games, and that's what I care about."

With both teams sitting at 5-4, Thursday is a pivotal game if either hopes to stay in the playoff race in a tightly bunched AFC.
