The 90-minute special airs in high definition from the annual NFL Spring Meeting in Dallas, Texas, home of Super Bowl XLV. The announcement will also be available for viewing live on NFL.com.

Super city contenders

As the football world awaits the official announcement of the Super Bowl XLVIII host, here's a look at the three finalists: New York/New Jersey, South Florida and Tampa Bay. **More ...**

Host Rich Eisen, alongside Michael Irvin and guest analyst Daryl "Moose" Johnston, anchor the announcement show from the Omni Mandalay Hotel in Dallas, giving viewers an inside look into the process of determining the Super Bowl host site and the three contenders for 2014 -- New York/New Jersey, South Florida and Tampa Bay.

Coverage also includes features on each of the three cities offering a look inside their preparation for the bid, with interviews from key committee members and clips from each city's presentation to the owners. Additionally, NFL Network reporters Jason La Canfora, Steve Wyche and Kara Henderson will also be stationed within the "war room" of each city for live reaction and interviews with the winning city's team owner and committee chair.

The Super Bowl XLVIII Selection Show also takes a look at the how planning for Super Bowl XLV in Dallas is shaping up for 2011, with interviews with Commissioner Roger Goodell, NFL senior vice president of events Frank Supovitz and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who gives additional insight into extensive process of planning and cooperation that it takes to pull off the biggest annual event in all of sports.
