Shad Khan: No interest in moving Jaguars to St. Louis

Jaguars owner Shad Khan initially attempted to break into the NFL with the purchase of the St. Louis Rams back in 2010, but that bid ultimately failed after current owner Stan Kroenke exercised a right of first refusal to buy out the majority share vacated by its departing holders.

But with the St. Louis market now vacated, would he attempt to move the Jaguars there?

Per Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the answer is no. Thomas caught up with Khan following the conclusion of Tuesday night's meetings and the conversation seemed pretty cut and dry.

Khan was determined, not heartbroken when he lost the bid to buy the Rams. In a recent interview with Around The NFL, Khan described it as destiny and loves the budding duality of his franchise, which also has a foothold in the United Kingdom.

"I really believe in fate or destiny, and I believe the Jacksonville Jaguars were my destiny," Khan told me. "I believe, when it's all said and done, it couldn't have worked out better for me ... man, oh man, this was just perfect."

And for now, it's working out for the people of Jacksonville. On a day when one fan base mourns, another won't have to start getting nervous.
