Steelers' Le'Veon Bell on knee: Close to 100 percent

There is a legitimate argument to be made that Le'Veon Bell's knee injury cost the Pittsburgh Steelers a playoff game and a chance to make another Super Bowl.

The NFL's biggest dual threat suffered a hyperextended knee injury in Week 17 that caused him to miss the Wild Card loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Speaking on NFL Network's Super Bowl Live on Wednesday, Bell told Marshall Faulk that despite missing the Pro Bowl, he's been able to work out on the injured knee.

"The knee is close to 100 percent," Bell said. "I'm probably about 85-90 percent, been able to run on it a little bit. So I'm getting back to work out a little."

In two years in the NFL, the former Michigan State running back has transformed his body and game to become a devastating back on the ground and a dangerous weapon in the passing game. Cutting weight the past offseason allowed him to be lighter and quicker.

Being able to train in the offseason without problems from the knee injury will be big as the 22-year-old seeks back-to-back All-Pro seasons.
