Cowboys owner Jerry Jones predictably took heat for calling Sunday's 51-48 loss to the Denver Broncos "a moral victory" for Dallas.
"I know what's going to happen to me when I say this, but that's a good term," Jones said Monday.
His son, team executive vice president Stephen Jones, doesn't agree with the message sent down from on high.
"There's no moral victories in this thing," Stephen told KRLD-FM on Tuesday, per The Dallas Morning News. "At the end of the day, you are what you are."

Dallas Cowboys from Week 5 on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 9 p.m. ET.
Said Stephen: "It was obviously a very difficult one to digest. I know we'll bounce back as a team, and we'll get to work. There's some positive things to build on, in terms of this team, but certainly no moral victories there."
Both high-ranking members of Jerrah World see positives in a team that came within one ill-advised pass of possibly knocking off the Broncos. Without question, there's something to take from that -- at least on offense.
The Cowboys' attack is capable of dropping the hammer when it's working as one. We've said all along Dallas has the look of an 8-8 team, but one that could win the wretched NFC East and possibly do some damage in an early-round playoff game. Moral victory 2.0?
