Steelers vs. Patriots: Five stats you may not know

Heading into Sunday's AFC Championship Game between the Steelers and Patriots, NFL Research takes a look at some key stats surrounding each of these two teams.

Stat No. 1

Both Ben Roethlisberger and Tom Brady each have as many interceptions as passing TDs in conference championship games.

Roethlisberger: 5 TD and 5 INT in four conference championship games (3-1 W-L)

Brady: 12 TD and 12 INT in 10 conference championship games (6-4 W-L)

Stat No. 2

Since Week 9, Julian Edelman (98.3 receiving YPG) and Antonio Brown (92.4 receiving YPG) rank 1st and 2nd, respectively, in the NFL in receiving yards per game (including playoffs).

Stat No. 3

The Steelers have entered the AFC Championship on a 9+ game winning streak two previous times (1976 and 2004). They lost the conference championship game in both of those instances.

Stat No. 4

Tom Brady is 16-3 at home in the playoffs in his career.

With a win versus Pittsburgh, Brady would have more playoff wins at home (17) than any other QB in NFL history has playoff wins (any location). Joe Montana ranks 2nd all-time with 16 playoff wins (all locations).

Stat No. 5

The Patriots have 11 fumbles on kickoff or punt returns this season, including one by Dion Lewis in the playoffs (most in NFL in 2016).
