Steelers, Vikings to square off in Hall of Fame Game

It's never too early to start thinking about next season.

The NFL on Wednesday announced that the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings will kick off the 2015 preseason in the Hall of Fame Game.

The game will unfold at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio, on Sunday, Aug. 9. NBC's Sunday Night Football will carry the tilt, with kickoff set for 8 p.m. ET.

Fans can tune in to watch Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger take on Minnesota's Teddy Bridgewater, the first passer scheduled to encounter a Pittsburgh defense led by new coordinator Keith Butler, who replaces the departed Dick LeBeau.

It will be a memorable weekend for both franchises, with former Steelers running back Jerome Bettis and ex-Vikings center Mick Tingelhoff named to the Hall of Fame's Class of 2015.
