Mendenhall, who was injured during last Sunday's loss at Houston, told NFL Network reporter Stacey Dales that his hamstring is feeling better and added that he split starting reps with Isaac Redman. If Mendenhall can't go, Redman, who has 22 carries for 107 yards this season, will start Sunday against the Titans.
Ben Roethlisberger was a full participant in practice again. The quarterback, who has been wearing a walking boot on his sprained left foot, told Dales his foot will be injected to ease the pain and that he'll wear a metal plate in an oversized shoe Sunday for added support.
Other players declared out this week for Pittsburgh: linebackers Jason Worilds (quadriceps) and James Harrison (eye), running back Mewelde Moore (ankle) and left guard Chris Kemoeatu (knee).
