Status of Browns RB Hillis still up in the air for game vs. Raiders

BEREA, Ohio -- Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis is not practicing one day after returning from a strained left hamstring.

Hillis missed Sunday's game against Seattle with the injury and practiced Wednesday for the first time since getting hurt in the Browns' Oct. 16 game at Oakland. Browns coach Pat Shurmur said Hillis is a "little sore" and will not work out with the team Thursday. Shurmur does not know if Hillis will be available for Sunday's game at San Francisco.

Also, Browns kicker Phil Dawson will practice. He was limited Wednesday with a right thigh bruise, and Shurmur said Dawson will kick today as the team prepares for the 49ers.

Starting wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi and tight end Benjamin Watson are still slowed by concussions and their status for Sunday is still uncertain.
