Starting CB Greer among three Saints ruled out vs. Rams

METAIRIE, La. -- New Orleans Saints cornerback Jabari Greer will sit out his first game this season when his team plays the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

Saints coach Sean Payton ruled out Greer, defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis and wide receiver Lance Moore for the game against the Rams.

Greer pulled his groin against the Carolina Panthers last weekend. Ellis has a sprained right knee and Moore a left ankle injury.

NFL interception leader Darren Sharper, who sat out Wednesday's practice with left knee soreness, practiced on a limited basis Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable by the Saints.

Starting center Jonathan Goodwin (ankle) returned to practice Friday and also was listed as questionable.

Linebacker Scott Fujita (left calf) was listed as probable.
