Start off 2016 right with this NFL-inspired workout

*The 2015 regular season is nearly in the books and the year is coming to a close. While the lucky fans have teams in the playoff hunt, the rest of us are left with waiting until next season. But at least that leaves time to actually maintain those New Year's resolutions this time around. To help, we've got an intense workout to get you in game-ready shape. Time to put in some work with these exercises, featuring some of the NFL's best.

**Instructions:

Repeat the below circuit three times. Rest 20-30 seconds in between each exercise to keep your heart rate up. Remember to stretch before and after your workout.* *

1. Med Ball Deceleration
Get multiple muscle groups activated to get a sweat going with this exercise.
Reps: Two sets, six to eight reps each leg

2. Tire Flip with Jump
Running backs need power and speed. This drill ensures explosiveness when pounding through the defensive line.
Reps: 10 reps

3. Floor Plank
The core is the foundation of any great athlete. This variation has some added difficulty with a medicine ball.  
Reps: 10 Reps

4. Barbell Lunges
Increase hip flexibility and strengthen your core and lower body all in one exercise. *
Reps: 10 steps with each leg

5. Farmers Walk
Finish off the workout with this exercise that incorporates the core while building grip strength.
Reps: Walk for 10 yards
