The Carolina Panthers may have gotten down to the league-mandated 53-player limit Saturday, but they weren't done making moves.
The team acquired five players off waivers Sunday, and former second-round pick Everette Brown was subsequently released to make room on the roster.

Brown, a defensive end, was the 43rd overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. He started just three games in two seasons with Carolina, recording six sacks.
He was released along with guard Bryant Browning, wide receiver David Clowney and defensive end Thomas Keiser. The contract of safety Kevin Payne was also terminated to make room for the players added Sunday.
The Panthers acquired former Chargers wide receiver Seyi Ajirotutu on Sunday, along with nose tackle Marcus Harrison, defensive end George Selvie and defensive backs Stevie Brown and Josh Thomas.
Ajirotutu posted a pair of touchdowns in 10 games for the Chargers last season. Selvie recorded 1.5 sacks in 16 games for the St. Louis Rams in 2010.
