Seahawks' Trufant: Back spasms won't keep me out vs. Bucs

RENTON, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks cornerback Marcus Trufant expects to play this weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after having to leave last Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons with back spasms.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that Trufant will be eased back into practice this week, but he is feeling better and expects to play.

Trufant left late in the first half last Sunday, and Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan quickly started picking on reserve cornerback Kennard Cox, leading to a go-ahead touchdown just before halftime.

Defensive tackle Junior Siavii will be held out this week after suffering a serious stinger against Atlanta. Carroll said the team will monitor Siavii very closely.
