Seahawks OT Garry Gilliam signs with 49ers

Seahawks offensive tackle Garry Gilliam will be playing for a division rival in 2017.

The restricted free agent signed an offer sheet from the 49ers for a one-year deal worth $2.2 million, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday, per a source informed of the deal. Rapoport added the Seahawks chose not to match the offer, so Gilliam signed with San Francisco on Tuesday.

By deciding not to match the offer, the Seahawks receive no compensation since Gilliam entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2014.

Gilliam has started 30 games over the least three seasons with the Seahawks, playing both right and left tackle.
