Seahawks LB Hill arrested in metro Atlanta on misdemeanor charge

ATLANTA -- Seattle Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor marijuana possession.

Sgt. Dwayne Taylor of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said Hill, 26, was arrested at about 4 a.m. Saturday in suburban Atlanta. Taylor said Hill apparently had fallen asleep behind the wheel at a major intersection.

Taylor said officers found less than one ounce of marijuana in the vehicle. A court date hasn't yet been set.

Hill was released after posting a $1,500 bond. Officials didn't know if he has an attorney.

Hill made 84 tackles in 12 games in 2008, but he missed the final four games of the season with a pinched nerve in his neck. The four-year NFL veteran is scheduled to become a free agent next month.
