Seahawks add depth to O-line, sign Williams from practice squad

RENTON, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks signed offensive tackle Kyle Williams from the practice squad for the second consecutive week, adding depth to a depleted position for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Seahawks released rookie defensive tackle Michael Bennett on Saturday to make roster room for Williams, who played in four games and started two as a rookie last season.

Williams was added last weekend before the Seahawks' 34-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Seattle then put Williams back on the practice squad this week.

The Seahawks have to play this roster game for now because three starting linemen are out with injuries. But the team believes Walter Jones, Rob Sims and Sean Locklear aren't hurt severely enough to go on the injured reserve list. That would end their seasons and clear roster space.
