Safety Alexander rejoins Dolphins; WR Wallace out for season

DAVIE, Fla. -- Safety Gerald Alexander has signed with the Miami Dolphins, who also placed wide receiver Roberto Wallace on season-ending injured reserve.

Alexander, a fifth-year pro, has made 30 career starts while playing with the Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions. He was with the Dolphins briefly before the season and was released Sept. 3.

Wallace, a second-year pro, played in two games for Miami this season and had no catches.
