Rex Ryan eats dog treats to fight animal cruelty

Things are different in Buffalo with Rex Ryan running the show.

To wit: On Thursday, the loquacious head coach took to the podium at Bills camp and proceeded to eat two dog biscuits. This kind of stuff wasn't happening when Doug Marrone was in town.

The G-D snack was a part of the Dog Biscuit Challenge, an awareness campaign organized by the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

"I never realized there are five calories in these bad boys and when I open them up I'm like these are a little small," Ryan said. "So here we go, I have no idea on the flavor."

Bills owner Terry Pegula also ate a biscuit. Ryan fed one of the treats to Pegula's dog, Sydney, who promptly spit it out. This was the highlight of the affair.

Anyway, dogs are awesome. If you want to learn more about the SPCA's campaign, click here.
