Report: Vikings will sign WR Aromashodu to one-year deal

Citing people with knowledge of the situation, the *Star Tribune* reported Tuesday that the Minnesota Vikings have agreed to a one-year contract with former Chicago Bears wide receiver Devin Aromashodu.

Aromashodu, 27, was a backup for Chicago last season who caught 10 passes for 149 yards with no touchdowns in 14 games. A seventh-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2006, Aromashodu also has played for the Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans and Washington Redskins.

Aromashodu's best game came against the Vikings in 2009, when he caught seven passes for 150 yards and the game-winning touchdown for the Bears.

His signing would add some insurance for Minnesota in the event that free-agent receiver Sidney Rice departs.
