Report: Seymour held out by Raiders because of knee injury

It turns out the Oakland Raiders won't have defensive tackle Richard Seymour for Sunday's game in Minnesota.

Seymour was a late scratch by the Raiders, according to the game's CBS broadcast. Seymour was in doubt to play against the Vikings after missing his second consecutive practice Friday because of a knee injury. He had been listed as questionable.

John Henderson and Tommie Kelly have played the first few series at tackle for the Raiders.

Raiders coach Hue Jackson sounded optimistic last week when asked if Seymour would play against the Vikings, but backed off that stance Friday.

Seymour evidently didn't improve, and the Raiders are left to stop Adrian Peterson and the Vikings' ground game without their best defensive lineman.
