Report: Patriots hosted free-agent DT Laws over weekend

Free-agent defensive lineman Trevor Laws visited the New England Patriots last Saturday, ESPN Boston reported Wednesday, citing a league source.

Laws, 26, just completed his fourth season with the Philadelphia Eagles, who drafted the Notre Dame product in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Laws has made just two starts in his career.

Last season, Laws played in 14 games, recording 20 tackles and one sack. He had a career-high four sacks in 2010.
