Report: Lions to meet with Ginn, eye him as fourth wideout

The Detroit Lions are planning to meet with free-agent receiver Ted Ginn Jr., sources told MLive.com on Wednesday.

Ginn, a member of the San Francisco 49ers the past two seasons, is being eyed as a potential fourth receiver in Detroit behind Calvin Johnson, Nate Burleson and Titus Young.

Ginn operated as an explosive return man last season, returning both a kickoff and punt for touchdowns against the Seahawks. He added 19 receptions for 220 yards.

Before playing with the 49ers, Ginn was a first-round pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2007 out of Ohio State. The Dolphins traded Ginn to the 49ers for a fifth-round pick in 2010.
