Redskins sign free-agent TE Ryan, who was a Chief in '09

ASHBURN, Va. -- Free-agent tight end Sean Ryan signed with the Washington Redskins, the team announced Thursday, but terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

Ryan caught 14 passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns for the Kansas City Chiefs last season. He has 26 catches for 240 yards and those two TDs in six NFL seasons with six teams.

Ryan turns 30 on March 27.
