Redskins and 49ers meet in classic 1983 NFC title game

The Washington Redskins were defending Super Bowl champions. The San Francisco 49ers were two years removed from winning the title. In 1983, the NFL's previous two champions met at RFK Stadium in D.C. for the NFC Championship Game in a showdown that will go down as "The Forgotten Classic."
