Ravens, Browns resume AFC North rivalry

Last meeting
Ray Rice rushed for a career-high 154 yards to help the Ravens sprint past the host Browns, 37-27, in Week 9 last season.

Streaks
Baltimore has won four of the past six meetings to extend its overall series lead to 13-7.

Last week
The Ravens were able to withstand a late rally by the Chargers and hold on for a 31-26 victory. ... The Browns fell apart in the second half for the second straight week, losing to the Broncos, 27-6.

Keep your eye on ...
Ray Lewis' inspired play: In the offseason, the Ravens' long-time linebacker and team leader became a free agent and there were doubts he would return to Baltimore. He ultimately chose to stay with the Ravens and the team is thankful he did so. Lewis has played up to his usual superstar standards in the first two weeks and his remarkable tackle of Darren Sproles on fourth-and-2 against San Diego sealed Baltimore's win.

Brady Quinn's development: The Browns quarterback has struggled mightily in the first two weeks, but will keep his starting job. While Quinn has failed to move the offense or put up points, the blame hardly falls on him alone. Pro Bowl OT Joe Thomas gave up four sacks against Denver's Elvis Dumervil last week and former Pro Bowlers Jamal Lewis and Braylon Edwards have yet to make an impact.

Eric Mangini's blueprint: Cleveland's new coach comes from the Bill Belichick school and he is trying to build a tough team that plays intelligently and minimizes mistakes. That process is probably going slower than Mangini would like as the Browns have have a minus-4 turnover ratio and have wilted during the second half defensively each of the first two weeks.

Did you know?
The Browns have not won a playoff game since 1994. ... Cleveland WR Braylon Edwards has four TD catches in six career games against the Ravens. ... Baltimore ranks first in the NFL in rushing defense, allowing only 41 yards per game. ... The Ravens have won eight of their last 10 home games.
