Rams sign two to replace Amendola, Fletcher

The St. Louis Rams placed wide receiver Danny Amendola and cornerback Bradley Fletcher on injured reserve Monday and signed two players to replace them, the team confirmed.

The Rams had previously announced both players would miss the season. Last week Amendola had surgery for a torn triceps, and Fletcher suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during practice.

Amendola led the Rams in 2010 with 85 catches and 689 receiving yards.

The Rams' top three cornerbacks entering the season -- Fletcher, Ron Bartell and Jerome Murphy -- are now all out for the season.
