Rams QB Bradford dons walking boot, leaving status unclear

ST. LOUIS -- Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said Sam Bradford remains in a walking boot Monday, and he wasn't sure of the quarterback's availability for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

Bradford hasn't done much work since Friday in hope that the extra rest would help heal his high left ankle sprain.

"It's been a shutdown deal," Spagnuolo said.

Spagnuolo also confirmed Monday that offensive tackle Jason Smith suffered a concussion during Sunday's 34-7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Spagnuolo added that doctors wanted to do more tests on Smith's neck, and that he also would see a spine specialist.

Defensive tackle Darell Scott, who also sustained a concussion, was sent home by the team Monday. Spagnuolo added that a CT scan on Scott also came back negative.

Justin King has a groin injury, and Spagnuolo didn't believe the cornerback would be available for the next practice Wednesday, further depleting a thin position.
