The St. Louis Rams have been a disappointment this season, but don't expect the team to blow up the machine come January.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport told Around The NFL on Thursday that all indications suggest that both coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Snead are safe and expected back for the 2016 campaign, per sources informed of the situation.
The pair have worked together since 2012, compiling a 25-35-1 record with no playoff appearances. Still, with a potential move to Los Angeles on the horizon, the Rams aren't in the mood to start over with an entirely new leadership group.
St. Louis, however, is interested in finding a quarterback after watching Nick Foles fizzle out this autumn. "The quarterback position will be a focus," Rapoport said, noting that the team feels that Snead has plucked two long-term talents in the draft in the form of running back Todd Gurley and defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
Having never topped seven wins in a season in St. Louis, Fisher would be on the hot seat in another city. The Rams, though, believe their recent draft hauls have the arrow pointing up, not down, in St. Louis.
