St. Louis Rams general manager Les Snead said Thursday the team has been approached by multiple teams interested in acquiring the No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, confirming what sources told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora.

"I won't give a number ... but I will say this: We've been approached by multiple teams, and some of them are obvious and some of them are not so obvious, until you sit down and analyze their situation and understand where they're coming from," Snead said on ESPN Radio's "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" when asked how many teams he had spoken with about a trade.
La Canfora also reported, via sources, that the Rams are willing to move the pick far in advance of April's draft.
The Rams have every intention of moving the pick, La Canfora reported earlier in the week, with Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III the presumed target for teams looking to trade into the spot.
The Washington Post reported Tuesday that the Redskins would be willing to trade two first-round selections and extra pieces for the chance to pick second overall. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch also reported Tuesday the Rams have held very preliminary discussions with the Cleveland Browns (pick No. 4 overall), the Miami Dolphins (No. 8) and the Redskins, in addition to a couple of other teams outside of the top 10.
Buffalo Bills general manager Buddy Nix told the team's website Thursday that he doesn't plan to trade up from No. 10 for the pick.
Snead suggested Thursday that the Rams are set at quarterback with Sam Bradford, but they're open to drafting players at a number of positions, based on their numerous needs.
"In the last four years, we're the worst team in football in terms of regular-season wins," Snead said. "With that being said, we have a lot of needs. What's nice is, we have a lot of young pillars as well. But there's probably not a position in this draft, other than QB, that we couldn't draft one of those players. When you have a franchise QB, you definitely would love to get explosive weapons for that player."
