Rams center Brown sprains knee, will have MRI exam

St. Louis Rams center Jason Brown sustained a sprained right knee in Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Rams announced Brown had an X-ray, which came back negative, and is schedule to have an MRI exam Monday. He apparently was injured while falling backward over teammate Jacob Bell near the end of the second quarter.

The Rams began the game without two other starting offensive linemen, rookie tackle Jason Smith (concussion) and veteran guard Richie Incognito (foot).

Mark Setterstrom, who started his first game since 2007 at guard, moved to center after Brown was hurt. John Greco replaced Setterstrom at guard.

Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis also suffered a shoulder injury, which isn't expected to be serious.
