Raiders sign Rayner to replace injured Janikowski vs. Chiefs

The Oakland Raiders have signed kicker Dave Rayner, who will handle kicking duties against the Kansas City Chiefs, a league source said Saturday.

The Raiders listed starting kicker Sebastian Janikowski, who is 12 for 13 on field-goal attempts this season, including a 63-yarder, as questionable with a hamstring injury. Janikowski could return following Oakland's bye in Week 8.

The Raidersconfirmed the signing while announcing defensive back Ron Parker was waived Saturday.

Rayner was one of three kickers to work out for the Raiders on Friday, along with Rhys Lloyd and Ricky Schmitt. Rayner is a six-year veteran who played eight games for the Detroit Lions last season.
