Raiders place Pro Bowl TE Brock Bowers (knee) on injured reserve

Brock Bowers' second NFL season is over with two games left.

The Raiders are placing the Pro Bowl tight end on injured reserve, ending his season, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported, per sources informed of the situation. The team later announced the transaction, along with defensive back Jeremy Chinnbeing put on IR, as well.

Bowers has dealt with a knee injury since Week 1, and the decision was made to get it taken care of now and focus on being 100% in 2026, Pelissero added.

Bowers made his second consecutive Pro Bowl, but the former first-rounder didn't have as explosive a season as his rookie campaign. Dealing with injury, Bowers played in just 12 games, catching 64 passes for 680 yards with seven touchdowns.

Bowers generated 176 career catches, most by a tight end through two seasons in NFL history. He'll end with 1,874 receiving yards, third-most by a TE through two campaigns, falling 107 yards shy of passing Mike Ditka (1,980) for the top spot.
