NEVER SAY NEVER MOMENT NOMINEES

Sebastian Janikowski, Oakland Raiders

Raiders save season in overtime:Kansas City Chiefs kicker Ryan Succop lined up in the game's final seconds for what appeared would be the winning field goal, which would boot the Oakland Raiders out of playoff contention. Defensive tackle Richard Seymour blocked the kick, forcing overtime, during which Janikowski made a 36-yarder to win it for Oakland, which set up the attempt with a 53-yard pass play from quarterback Carson Palmer to wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey.

Dan Orlovsky, Indianapolis Colts

Colts rally to beat Texans: When Houston took a 16-12 lead late in the fourth quarter, it appeared as if it would finally get its first-ever win in Indianapolis and move into position for a first-round playoff bye. Instead, the Colts drove down the field to collect their second consecutive win after opening the season 0-13. Orlovsky led a 12-play, 78-yard touchdown drive for the victory, highlighted by a 34-yard pass to wide receiver Reggie Wayne and capped by a touchdown by Wayne.

Tom Brady, New England Patriots

Patriots rally from 17 down: New England experienced a frustrating first half of football against the Miami Dolphins. Starting left tackle Matt Light got hurt in warmups and missed the game. Logan Mankins took his spot, but suffered a knee injury on the Patriots' second series. With their top two offensive linemen out, the Patriots struggled on offense as the Dolphins built a 17-0 halftime lead. The Patriots adjusted to their setbacks, scoring 27 unanswered points in the second half to win the game and clinch a first-round playoff bye.
