Raiders' doctor explains what football can learn from rugby

Can football become safer by learning a few tricks from another tackle sport?

Rugby Mag via Yahoo!Sports' PostGame talked to a few of the sport's U.S. officials about what they would tell football officials about technique, including a doctor who has experience in both sports. (Rugby is similar to football, but it is not played with helmets or pads.)

So Peterson and Kwiatkowski contacted Jack Clark and Tom Billups, who run the vaunted rugby program at Cal, to talk about tackling.

However, both King and Billups said rugby could learn from football in dealing with medical issues.
