Keep your eye on ...
The Peterson in purple: Minnesota's Adrian Peterson rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns the last time he faced the Bears. The Bears' fifth-ranked rush defense will take a huge hit if it allows Peterson to come anywhere close to those numbers again.

Berrian settling a score:Vikings WR Bernard Berrian was a third-round draft pick of the Bears and spent four years in Chicago. The receiver-starved Bears let Berrian slip away to a division rival, and it's not hard to imagine that this is one of the games he has been looking forward to since signing in Minnesota.

Forte's fortunes: Last year, it was the Vikings riding a rookie running back to victory over their NFC North rivals. The Bears look to turn the tables on Minnesota this year with Matt Forte, who leads all rookie running backs with 459 rushing yards.

Chicago's dual threat: The electrifying Devin Hester has three touchdowns in his past three games against the Vikings -- two punt returns and one receiving touchdown. Hester is starting to look comfortable as a receiver, running more precise routes as well as developing a chemistry with quarterback Kyle Orton.
