Quick Take: Jets rally to edge Chiefs

Chiefs QB Tyler Thigpen threw an incomplete pass on fourth-and-1 with 17 seconds remaining in the game. The Jets had taken a 28-24 lead on a Brett Favre Laveranues Coles on the previous drive. The Chiefs took it down to the Jets 31 before failing to convert on fourth down.

Game ball
Leon Washington made the most of his 13 touches for the Jets. The reserve running back gained 67 yards on three carries, 34 yards on three catches, 102 yards on four kickoff returns and 71 yards on three punt returns for a total of 274 all-purpose yards. He also scored two touchdowns.

Key stat
The Jets were able to overcome three Brett Favre interceptions. Favre, who has seven interceptions in his last three games, now leads the NFL with 11 after throwing 15 all of last season.
